Help Uganda's Sandalwood

                                               The above is the example of Sandalwood leaves

Sandalwood is the name is of an expensive tree from the family of  genus Santalum. The woods of this tree are heavy, yellow, and fine-grained, and unlike many other aromatic woods, they have retained their fragrance for decades. In Uganda, Sandalwood is commonly found in Karamoja region most especially in Areas of Moroto,Nakapiripiti,and Kotido. Because of the fact that, this tree is similar to Gold and Diamonds in terms of its value, it is being harvested excessively by the local community for firewood and the business personnel are hunting it for commercial values and it is, also, being smuggled from Uganda to other parts of the world. After when our neighbors in Kenya learnt about this tree, there is now a very big effort in the Kenya government to see to it that this endangered tree is being protected. It takes years and decades to groom this tree. This tree has been and is still used for medicinal purposes and also, Sandalwood oil   is highly valued. Am now calling the international community to come and join me in my effort of Whistle blowing to see to it that, we pressure the Government of Uganda through its Ministry of Lands and Environmental protection and its concerned bodies like NEMA to come up and conserve this treasure of Uganda. You can write to Uganda’s MP’s and policy makers about this issue now. If we join hands, we shall be able to win like the way we did to Mabira forest.
Yours Faithfully

Let us change our continent name from "Africa" to Hannibal

 Lets us petition against the name Africa so that, African Union former Organization of African Unity changes its name (Africa)to Hannibal because of the fact that, the word Africa was a humiliation of our continent  by the Romans and their allies, when actually Hannibal fought for the dignity of  Our continent which is presently called “Africa”.
Bellow is some of the historical events which can support my argument;
Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus (236–183 BC), also known as Scipio the African, Scipio the Elder, Scipio Africanus-Major, and Scipio the Great[1] was a general in the Second Punic War and statesman of the Roman Republic. He was best known for defeating Hannibal at the final battle of the Second Punic War at Zama, a defeat that earned him the agnomen Africanus, the nickname "the Roman Hannibal", as well as recognition as one of the finest commanders in military history. An earlier great display of his tactical abilities had come already at the Battle of Ilipa.
Hannibal, son of Hamilcar Barca[n 1] (247 – 183/182/181 BC)[n 2] was a Punic Carthaginian military commander, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. His father, Hamilcar Barca, was the leading Carthaginian commander during the First Punic War, his younger brothers were Mago and Hasdrubal, and he was brother-in-law to Hasdrubal the Fair.
Hannibal lived during a period of great tension in the Mediterranean, when the Roman Republic established its supremacy over other great powers such as Carthage, the Hellenistic kingdoms of Macedon, Syracuse, and the Seleucid empire. One of his most famous achievements was at the outbreak of the Second Punic War, when he marched an army, which included war elephants, from Iberia over the Pyrenees and the Alps into northern Italy. In his first few years in Italy, he won three dramatic victories—Trebia, Trasimene, and Cannae, in which he distinguished himself for his ability to determine his and his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and to play the battle to his strengths and the enemy's weaknesses—and won over many allies of Rome. Hannibal occupied much of Italy for 15 years, but a Roman counter-invasion of North Africa forced him to return to Carthage, where he was decisively defeated by Scipio Africanus at the Battle of Zama. Scipio had studied Hannibal's tactics and brilliantly devised some of his own, and finally defeated Rome's nemesis at Zama, having previously driven Hasdrubal, Hannibal's brother, out of the Iberian Peninsula.

Subject matter; Grass hoppers are facing extinction, oohh Lord!

 Grasshoppers are insects belonging to the order of Orthoptera. These insects are commonly known as “Nsenene” in Uganda. A number of Ugandans have been and some are still feasting on these delicious insects at least two seasons a year. It is said and believed that Grasshoppers breed on shores of our East African fresh water lakes and rivers. The swam of grasshoppers normally used to be seen in mid year between the month of May and June and then also towards the end of the year between the month of November and December. The change of weather patterns in our region and the excessive hunting and trapping of these insects has caused the irregularities of these insects and it is also a clear indicator that one time in future these delicious insects shall face extinction.
I recently interviewed some of our members from the Environmental Evangelists movement and they have raised their voices on this subject matter listen to Teadeo Nsubuga from Buganda in Central Uganda, and Grace Bagoole from Busoga region Eastern Uganda.
