We have Incured the risk! Chance knocks once too!

Recently   a friend of mine, whom I have known for years, introduced me to a new web portal called Wazzub.net, well; because registering on this new sight is free and easy I decided to register and I have been telling it to my friends. Now,I do not have to give chances because of the experience I do have, some many years ago, while  studying in one of the colleges in the US an associate of mine convinced me to become part of now a popular Youtube which was by then coming up, and in response to this friend of mine, I decided to turn a deaf ear to her, because I believed and thought that, may be it was not necessary to be part of the new establishment called Youtube because  I was already a practicing member of by then a popular Hotmail.com. Now with the fact that hot mail is history and you tube is selling like a hot cake am some how regretting my slow kind of decision making! Am now talking of  things like, I wish I was one of the pioneer members of youtube! Yes it is very true that a by gone is a by gone, but why do we have to study history then? We study history so as to learn what happened in the past and then if there was good in the past  we should some how adopt it and if there was  bad then we have to learn from this bad past and then avoid making another mistake!
Wazzub uses a  slogam “WE” which sounds good to my ears, now since I have been denied an audience on some local and International web, etc media then why not try another avenue which am likely to be part of? And what is the logic behind belonging to something which does not consider and recognize you? And how dare that we have to tie our selves on establishments which belong to others instead of creating our own establishments? And what makes those already established, establishment different from those which are coming up?
Even thou, I have come across some scary links like this one talking terrible about this Wazzub thing am not really scared, see the link : http://behindmlm.com/companies/wazzub-review-another-useless-search-portal-mlm/
The English say that, If you do not risk you do not get and now if you are really determined to incur the risk come and venture here for free, open the link : http://signup.wazzub.info/?lrRef=08194d1f

The African Brinjal small bitter eggplants

The above pictures shows an eggplant which goes up to five feet in height and also some  examples of eggplant berries, they appear in spherical and  oval  shapes. Photo by, Davis Costa Ddamulira Ssempuuma.

You have not probably heard and seen the type of small brinjal eggplants which is also called bitter berries. They are normally in dark green, light green and white in color, some are spherical and others are oval and they are totally unlike the usual purple-colored variety of  big egg plants found in many parts of the world. These eggplants are locally known as Katunkuma in East Africa.
These small egg plants are the best food supplement so far in reliving people from diabetes and   high blood pressure.
The berry of this eggplant is bitter and is nearly the size of a Soya bean. Fresh berries are normally boiled or cooked and are mixed in any type of stew. On some occasions, these berries are boiled, dried and then crashed into powder form, and then some amount of it is mixed in any form of stew or source. You can also eat these berries fresh.
These bitter berries are rich in all kinds of salts, carbohydrates and vitamins.

Volunteers opportunities in Uganda, East Africa

I grew up in seventies as a child but I remember of not having seen any chemical application in our gardens and believe me we hard food in abundance .Now with the most sophisticated applications of chemicals in our gardens and farms there is now a very low yield and there is also quite a number of families which go without food for a day!
This kind of arrangement always puzzles me and I tend to wonder whether our communities in Africa will   survive with this kind of hash situation, but some thing also comes to my mind and I ask my self that, is my community really suffering because of having many people? Actually the answer is no, because the over populated communities like those found in India and China would be burying people every now and then because of hunger.
Then, what can we really do in order to curb the hunger problem in my community? Well I think we should adopt some new applicable methods of farming, for example we always get a lot of grass during the rainy seasons and people just look at it because their culture tell them that grass just grows by itself and that we should always wait for God to give us rain so as to feed our animals, but I believe, once we happen to get some volunteers from other places and come and teach our folks, they will learn probably how to conserve their animal food by say making hay. Believe me this kind of training by some volunteers from some where will have an impact on my people because people are always interested in learning new things from visitors rather than we who lives with them in our villages. I believe and think that a single move of say, where by a volunteer from another land will be teaching my people how to make hay and save it in some locally made bans will have a big impact in my community because my people’s animals will not starve for food and hence, this will improve their standard of living and then make our community become more healthier.
I, well know that there are volunteers somewhere on this globe who are really willing to come and help my community of Butoolo parish,Kammengo,Mpigi District,Uganda, Please we humbly invite you to come and assist us in some  modern farming skills.

We have to think smart

Am a Ugandan who is a staunch supporter of the renewable energy campaign and I have been looking around in my country for the last two years since when I came back from the US and so far,I, have not yet come across any serious investor putting his money in establishing some mega solar energy plants in our country. Wherever some one talks of the renewable energy in Uganda, the idea goes in investing more in the hydro electric power and also putting up mega fossil fuel generators.
Well, I feel and believe that, we have launched a good campaign in Uganda so as to combat the excessive black out which is now popular at least in all areas of Uganda, but what about our policy makers and authorities in Uganda to note on the fact that, once we temper with our natural famous water falls like Kaluma, Kannungu, Bujagali, Ssezibwa, etc, we shall never at any given cost recover these natural beauties which have been attracting tourists from all corners of our planet. I think we have to think smart and think more critically on how to utilize the Sun. If countries like Germany, etc based in the northern hemisphere have utilized the sun resources at the highest degree then, what about Uganda which is located in the equatorial region? Because of the fact that we are based in the equatorial region, it means that we are very much blessed by the natural energy called the sun and it’s our responsibility to see to it that, we utilize this resource instead of only concentrating more to forms of energy which are denting our tourist sites and polluting our environment.
The demand for energy is rising every day in Uganda and so, we have to be more smart and logical, that is by not to, over utilize our natural water falls when making electrical dams instead, we should think of establishing the mega solar and wind energy plants, and in this process, we shall avoid the excessive damage of our natural water falls when constructing the hydro electricity power plants.
Am personally welcoming any investor willing to venture in this project to come to my country and we do something for the good of our community.
